When the smoke and dust from a science lab explosion clears, Zoe and Jax find themselves in a world where mermaids and magic are real, fairytale characters have come alive, and there’s no school. But all they want to do is get back home to Los Angeles.
That is, until they discover that a tap-dancing clown is kidnapping children for a game that combines virtual reality with magic. The kids are being changed into animal avatars, and Zoe and Jax know they have to help.
But saving the kids and getting back to their world alive will put them to every test—they’ll have to use their brains, their talents, and every ounce of their courage.
